Vanilla Butterfly Cakes

Hello there! Today's post (like I mentioned yesterday) is going to be about my cakes I made today. However, unlike last time I am going to write the recipe up for you as these cakes are not just basic cupcakes. Lets get going...

Vanilla Butterfly Cakes

Ingredients                                                                                For The Filling

175g/6oz/3/4 cup butter, softened                                      75g/3oz/6 tbsp butter, softened
175g/6oz/3/4 cup caster (superfine) sugar                         175g/6oz/1 1/2 cups icing (confectioners')
5ml/1 tps vanilla extract                                                     sugar, double sifted, plus extra for dusting
4 eggs, lightly beaten                                                         1/2 vanilla pod (bean), split, or a few drops
175g/6oz/1 1/2 cups self-raising                                        of vanilla extract
(self-rising) flour, sifted

1. Preheat the oven to 180.C/350.F/Gas 4. Line 8-9 cups of a bun tin (pan) with paper cases.

2. Beat the butter and sugar together until light and creamy. Add the vanilla. Gradually add the eggs, beating well after each addition. Add the sifted flour and fold into the mixture until just combined.

3. Divide the mixture among the paper cases and bake for 20 minutes until the cakes are golden brown and the centres feel firm to the touch. Remove from the oven. Leave to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then turn out on to a wire rack to cool completely.

4. To make the butter cream filling, beat the butter and icing sugar together until smooth. Add a few drops of vanilla extract.

5. When the cakes have cooled, carefully cut round the lightly domed tops with a small sharp knife and remove the top of each cake. Slice the tops in half to form two semi-circles, to make the butterfly wings. Set aside.

6. Use a piping (icing) bag with a star nozzle to pipe a whirl of butter cream into each cake. Press the wings into the cream and dust with sifted icing sugar.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay.That's the recipe that I read from, so hopefully you can now make these Vanilla Butterfly Cakes all by your self! :) <3
If you don't have a piping bag, you can just carefully spoon the cream onto the cake instead. That's what I did and it worked considerably well! However make sure you don't put too much cream onto the cake as that can make them quite sickly, which is never nice!
Here are some baking pictures I took, I am quite proud of the way my cakes turned out, how ever I know now that I should of sifted the icing sugar when I was dusting my cakes. As you can probably see!
Mmmmmm... Don't these look good! Hopefully this post has inspired you to take your cooking ingredients out from the back of the cupboard to make these! Their super easy and super tasty so I definitely recommend you to have a go.
Once again, thanks for reading this post, I hope you enjoyed it and I hope it didn't make you too hungry!
Small Matalan Haul
Hello there! As you can probably see, this is no Bowling post. The reason being is as when we went there in the morning the people told us that there were no lanes left, and that we would have to book for a later time in the day. We all thought it would be a bit of a kerfuffle to drive home, book a time, then drive all the way back again, so we ended up not going :( I've got to say I am quite disappointed as when we walked into the Bowling place, I saw so many things that were perfect to take a picture of! Instead, I've decided to do a (very) small Matalan post! I really hope that you still enjoy this post, and my posts will be more interesting and back to normal soon! Lets get started...
Don't you think them Hair Clips are absolutely gorgeous?! I've been looking around for some big Hair Clips and when I saw these I just wanted to purchase them! Black and White always looks good, and goes with everything which is an advantage! These Hair Clips are £3.00.
I'm going to call the bottom picture my 'new item of clothing' as I don't really know what to call it. Its not a t-shirt really... Is it? (Have you noticed I never know the same of things?!) Anyway, I love this new 'item of clothing' that I purchased as it goes brilliantly with my new 'ski leggings' I got on Tuesday. Its cream coloured and will honestly go with a pair of jeans or leggings as well. Maybe even shorts too. I can see this outfit being worn by me until everyone's fed up of it, because that's what I do with every outfit I love! <3 This 'item of clothing' is £8.00.
Before I go, I want to say thank you. Over the past few days my blog views have started to go up even more. I'm now onto 580 views which means the absolute world to me. Also, I now have 9 Followers! Which I know its not much, but to me I feel thankful that anyone has liked my blog enough to follow me! I hope that my blog can grow and grow even more each day, and we can all take each step together! <3 :)
This post is for some reason quite long, despite the fact I only bought two things from Matalan! I hope you enjoyed it never the less, and I'll see you guys soon! xxx
Zoella Product Review
As quite a lot of you (and me) love Zoella and Beauty Products, I thought it would be a fun idea to review the three Zoella Products I have. If your new to Zoella and her products, hopefully this post can inform you on whether these items are for you! Lets get going...
The same fragrance runs throughout the range which I think is lovely as its a very sweet and fruity smell. How ever its not too overpowering which is a great advantage. The packaging on each product (Body Lotion, Bath Soak and Fizz Bar) is lovely and girly looking, which will look great sitting on anyone's shelf!
Zoella's Body Lotion is refreshing and keeps your body and hands very soft, with the fragrance staying with you for ages which is a brilliant thing as I could sniff her products all day - they smell so good. The piece of information written on the back is very sweet as well, which I like as I read the labels of literally everything.
Going onto the Bath Soak and Shower Cream, again the smell is gorgeous and the packaging is wonderful. Its smooth, and keeps you smelling nice all day.
My favourite product is the Fizz Bar. The packaging is delightful once again, and also the smell. I use one square per bath however you can use two or more, its up to you. I like saving mine to special occasions as I don't want them to run out quickly!
Every product is wonderful, and I would definitely recommend them to all the Beauty and Zoella lovers out there. I'm very proud of Zoe for putting such time and effort into creating a perfect range of lovely smelling products.
There is a lot more of Zoella's products out their other than these three though! I am yet to purchase the Make Up Bags, Candle, Perfume and more. When I do purchase those items I'll make sure to review them! If you want me to...
I hope reading this post has gave you some sort of look in on what Zoella Products there are, and if you think you should buy them or not. The range of products are all great and in my opinion, if you haven't got these than your missing out! xxx
Prices Of The Products I Reviewed:
Zoella Creamy, Madly, Dreamy Body Lotion: £5.00
Zoella Soak Opera Bath Soak & Shower Cream: £5.00
Zoella Fragranced Fizzers: £.5.00
Love Heart Cake Mountains
Hello there! Earlier on today I made some cute little cupcakes, and I am too proud of them to just not write a post about it! However, I'm not going to write instructions on how to make them as I reckon most of you probably know how to make basic cupcakes and icing. Although, if you would like a post on how to make these, let me know and I might write the recipe :) <3
I was having a sort of  'Crazy Moment' while making these cakes, as you can see by the title on what I named my cupcakes... But come on, calling them Love Heart Cake Mountains is just so sweet.
^*^*
Taking this picture wasn't as easy as it looks!
I was so scared that I'd drop the tray or my iPad, as
I was balancing my iPad and the tray on either hand aha!
^**^
Here are my 'Love Heart Cake Mountains'! Isn't this picture
just delightful too?! You obviously can't see this, but inside
the cupcakes there is lots and lots of chocolate chips, which makes the cake
taste even more exciting! I was going to go all out on these cakes by adding
marshmallows, more chocolate chips, extra sweets and sprinkles... But I decided
this might just look like a 'Toddlers CupCake Explosion' instead if I
did that! So, I ended up doing something basic, but I still think it looks quite cute.
What do you think?
I hope I haven't made you too hungry or craving for cakes by reading this post! If you would like more posts like these but with recipes then just let me know via the comments. I love cooking so I'll make sure to always share it with you guys when I create something cute and tasty looking!
Also guys, on Friday I am going bowling with my family and my mum is letting me take my iPad with me, so expect a post with lots of photos as where I go bowling there is a cute candy floss and Arcade machines which are so sweet to take pictures of :) <3
Before I go, I would like to thank you all as over the past few days my blog has started to get more and more views. Just in two days I have received 250 views which is a great deal for me. Even some people have commented a few things, which makes me feel so excited and happy! Also my Google profile has 1,111 views which is just, aaaaaargh amazing!!
P.S. I was thinking, should I start doing a thing called 'Gossip Saturday'? I was thinking on that day I would share Gossip that I've heard for example to do with new Youtubers, Youtubers, food, television... ect; Would you guys like to see that? Comment belowwwww! :)
Town Haul
I don't even know if doing a Town Haul is a 'thing', but this is what this post is going to be about! As you've probably guessed I went up town today and bought some nice things. But don't worry though, I didn't buy too much so this post shouldn't be too long! I hope you enjoy this post as it makes me so excited and happy when I see if anyone has either commented, followed or even liked my blog. I love you all haha! <3 :)
^**^
I'm so happy I purchased these. If you can't see what they
are clearly enough in the photo, they are a No7 Stay Perfect
Superlight Foundation, and a No7 Lash Impact Mascara. I bought these two
products in Boots!
^**^
I was so excited when I found these. I've never had a Pop Tart
before, but I've always wanted to try them! I purchased these from a sweet shop
called Dinky's, however I didn't realise you can get them in places like Tesco's
or the 99p store!
^**^
I bought these 3 Round Make Up
Sponges from Superdrug, they're very good to use for Foundation.
^**^
Happily, I got to go in Lush so I obviously bought a bath bomb in there!
This bath bomb is a Avobath Bath Ballistic which smells very fresh and lovely!
^**^
I purchased this face mask from Wilkinson's, where there
is a different range of lovely face masks to choose from. Although in my
opinion I prefer to use the peel off ones than the other types.
^**^
I absolutely adore this purchase I got. I don't actually know
what they are called as trust me, they are definitely not jeans but they
don't feel like leggings either; their too silky to be leggings! My mum
calls them Ski leggings, but I really don't know! Anyway, these 'Ski Leggings' are so perfect fitting and I love them very much.
^**^
I'm sorry but, these pop tarts were SO tasty and good, I couldn't just not take a
photo of them. Trust me, Pop Tarts taste like HEAVEN!
On that note, thanks for taking your time to read this post as I found it very enjoyable to share the things I purchased today with you. xxx
Girl Online Book Review (NO SPOILERS DON'T WORRY!!)
Hey there! I warned you about it, and here it is; my book review of Girl Online, by the amazing Youtuber, Zoe Sugg! This book was one of the greatest books I've read in a long time, so prepare for lots of positivity! Lets go...
When I'm choosing a book to read, I've got to admit, I normally judge the book by its first page. I prefer books which are in first person and the first page has to be some good opening for me to read on. For example, I hate books which start with a really descriptive piece of writing all to do with the setting, as I find these too boring and I seem to trudge through the book so slowly. Fortunately, none of this happened when I read the first page of Girl Online. The opening is so unique and interesting that once I picked up the book, I didn't stop reading until I was a good few chapters in!
In my very, very (did I mention very?) true opinion, the opening is so hooking, the plot line keeps you on the edge of your seat, the descriptions of the wonderful places and the perfect ending all adds up to the successful, wonderful book that it is. I am really looking forward to the sequel, as I know it will be as perfect (and even better) than the first book.
As most of you know, there was sort of a kerfuffle on people stating that Zoe's book was ghost written. Honestly, I don't really believe it. Yes, obviously Zoe had a lot of help on the book, but you can clearly see how the whole book, the way its written, reminds me of Zoe. Even though the story line has nothing to do with Zoe, you can see the little touches like the panic attacks, the scented candles... All through the book there are little hints on things you know Zoe loves and deals with. That's why I love this book. Its so inspirational and amazing, and I'm very proud of Zoe for everything she's put into this book!
Like I literally mentioned right then, this book is very inspirational. If you've read it, you'll know that the main character (Penny) loves photography, and brings her camera everywhere with her. Which has inspired me to buy my own camera and start taking my own photos! My dad is thinking about it, so I'll report back to you soon!
Thanks for reading this, as you can probably tell I thoroughly loved this book so much and I 100% recommend this book to everyone!
LittlePeaches                      x
P.S. Unfortunately, I've somehow caught a horrible cold, which is annoying, but don't worry this post is germ free and very clean!
P.P.S. If you've read Girl Online, am I the only one who pictures Elliot as Troye Sivan?! XD
Half Term Happiness!
OK. Before I start I just want to say I'm so sorry that there was no blog post on either Tuesday or Thursday. The reason being was as on Tuesday I had Maths Revision (Ugh I know, save me!) And on Thursday I felt really lazy and kind of forgot. (Oops) But, I can gladly say it's now the Half Term! No school for 10 whole awesome days. That means a lot more blogposts than usual as most days I'll be inside or doing something fun which I'll certainly blog about later! :)
Some of the things I'll be doing in the Half Term;
1. Reading
2. Writing
3. Doing my Wreck This Journal
4. Relaxing
5. Chatting
6. Shopping
7. Drawing
8. Sleeping
9. Blog posting
10. Eating
The list could on and on! Fortunately I have no homework to do all through the holidays, so it truly is school free for me! Comment below what you love doing in the half term, I'd love to hear :)
Currently I am reading the most wonderful book ever to existed; Girl Online by Zoe Sugg. I started reading it on Wednesday, and I am already on Chapter 30. It's such an amazing, inspirational book that I know for sure I'll be doing a review on! I will probably finish the book either today or tomorrow, so I reckon they'll be a review on the book very soon. :)
Through the week off I know I'll definitely be doing lots of writing, drawing and my Wreck This Journal. Now, just for this week I'm going to change the schedule to my blog posts to when ever I want, so I can make sure I post lots of interesting things for you guys. So expect a lot more posts soon!
I'm going to town some time next week, where I will be buying things in Lush (As I really want the Unicorn Horn and Dragon Egg Bath Bombs!) so I'll post a nice, short post on the things I've brought while I'm shopping. It's always nice to create an easy going, nice girly blog post!
Thanks for reading this guys, once again I really enjoyed writing this post as it is easy going and very chatty. I hope you all have a wonderful week off, make sure to stay happy and do the things you love.
Wavy Hair
Hello there! So, Sunday's post is going to be about a new hairstyle that I have recently discovered, and I love the outcome of my hair every time I do it. Above are pictures of it; which I took on Retrica! Let's go...
This hair style is loose curls that start from the bottom down, leaving the top part straight. The reason why I love doing this with my hair is the fact you can do it everyday, as it's not too full blown curls that you'd normally go for at a party. You can do this very easy look for school, work, or maybe even sleepovers or just hanging around the house. Also, all you need for this easy hairstyle is straighteners, your hands, patience and of course, long hair.
First of all, split your hair into two sides and bring it all to the front. Make sure your straighteners are fully on and ready. With your hands, tightly twist one section of your hair until you can twist it no longer. Once you've done this, carefully pick up your straighteners and clamp them shut onto your twisted piece of hair. Make sure you get the straighteners clamped shut on each bit of your twisted hair at a time. Do this with your other section of hair. Once you've done it to both sides, with your fingers brush lightly through the two twisted bits of hair to even them out so their not all stuck together. Your hair will now be loosely, yet very effectively curled! After I do this, I normally curl smaller sections of the hair the same way if I think they haven't curled as well. Also, I make sure the pieces of my hair closest to my face are curled at the top as in my opinion it gives nice shape to the style and your face! Add some hairspray, carefully and very lightly brush with a hair brush, then there you have it! Your very own easy done hairstyle which looks very lovely.
You can always add bits to the hairstyle; for example, you could tie or braid bits up or maybe just clip bits in different ways.
I hope you enjoyed this blog post as I'm really loving this hairstyle at the moment, and it was fun to share it with you! Thanks ever so much for reading this, and tell me if you try this hairstyle on yourself!
Chatting And Being Ill
Hello there! So Thursdays blog post is going to be a quite chatty, and I'm just going to talk to you guys about things on my mind and me being ill over the past through days. Lets go...
Like I mentioned very briefly earlier on, I've been off school and ill from Monday to now (Thursday). I've felt really rubbish over the past few days, so I've been lounging around at home to try and get my self better. However, on most days I was home alone as my mum and dad were at work, so being by my self all day, I got bored and did lots of pages in my Wreck This Journal. (Some post soon will be dedicated to new pages). I was really glad I got to spend some time at home when I was ill, as I really would've hated it if I had to go to school when I was feeling really horrible. Although, sometimes its annoying as I've probably missed out on so many interesting things, because in my opinion, when I'm off sick everything exciting seems to happen at my school. Unfortunately I'm going back to school tomorrow as there is an assessment in Textiles, and I really need to finish my work so I don't get a low level. :(  I still feel ill but I'm going to have to go in! Wish my luck aha.
The next exciting thing (to me anyway) was that yesterday I reached 200 Followers on my @xwreckthisjournalx account on Instagram! I am so happy and I nearly screamed when I realised. I always try and make my posts as nice and interesting as can be on Insta, so I'm glad that I've got followers that like and comment on my photos. If you have Instagram you can go follow my Insta if you want, and I'll follow you back if you let me know that you've came from my blog!
Okay, that's it for today's blog post! I've really enjoyed writing this post as its different to normal, and its lovely getting to just chat. If you enjoyed this post comment below, favourite or maybe even follow as I'd really appreciate it!
YouTuber Announcments
Hello! If you watch YouTubers than you probably know The Sugg Family have given out some exciting announcements lately. That's basically what this blog post is about. Obviously it's going to be more interesting than just me reciting the announcements, as I'm going to talk about how I feel about them.
***But first, I would like to thank you all as my blog has just reached 100 views!! I know this is not a lot compared to other people's blogs, but for me it means so much and I'm so happy. I want to thank everyone who has ever decided to click onto my blog, and take time to read my posts. I love you all so much! I really enjoy having a blog and I'm glad others like it too.***
~~~~~ Now, let's get on with the main point of this blog post! ~~~~~~

The first announcement was from Joe Sugg (ThatcherJoe) on his Sugg Sunday Video. I was literally SO excited for this one, I was sat refreshing his YouTube Channel for probably about 10 minutes! Joe Suggs Sunday video was later than normal, which was annoying, as it got uploaded at about half past 9. But once it was uploaded I watched it straight away! I reckon I was one of the first to see it because as soon as I saw it when I refreshed his channel for the millionth time, I clicked on it and watched it. Anyway, Joe's announcement was that he is releasing his own Graphic Novel!! When he said that on his video I nearly screamed, because I'm just so proud of him <3. A Graphic Novel is such an original, fun idea, and it's exactly what Joe is; Original and fun. The reason why I love Joe so much, is that he makes sure he gets all his subscribers involved too. He created a poll on what he should call the main character in his Graphic Novel, and obviously I voted! I voted for the name Evie, as the other names were a bit weird. (For example; Ziggy). Ziggy has the lowest votes which in my opinion is good, as Ziggy seems a bit humorous. His video about the exciting announcement was the cutest though, as there was small clips of him jumping up and down and clapping in excitement, which is so sweet as you can see it really means something to him. I'm really excited to buy Joe's
Graphic Novel in September, and I'm so proud of him it's unbelievable!

The next exciting announcement was from Zoe Sugg (Zoella) her announcement didn't have a video to it, but it was still very exciting when I read her tweet about it on Twitter. The exciting announcement from Zoe was that she is going to be on the Great British Bake Off for Red Nose Day! Which is so exciting and lovely. On Zoe's Twitter she said that she has been holding that secret in since September, which I can't believe she held it in for that long! If I was her I would of accidentally blurted it out as soon as possible. I'm so proud of Zoe though, because I know she loves The Great British Bake Off so much. Also she got to meet the Queen of baking her self, Mary Berry, which I am so happy for Zoe as she got to meet her. I will be really looking forward to watching her on Red Nose Day, and I hope she does really well and wins it.

I'm so happy for them both, as I know they both are probably really excited about it too. I will probably make a blogpost for Red Nose Day and when Joe releases his Graphic novel in September as well. (But that's a long way away so we don't have to worry about that just yet!)

Thank you all for reading this very long blog post. I really appreciate it!
